NEWS FROM HOME (Hadzor)
Jan 09. Well here we are Christmas and New Year behind us and looking forward to 2009 and all it has in store for us. The past few months have seemed like a bit of a wirlwind with so many things happening with in the families all around the world. On a personal note the new year has started with good news in that I have had a successful outcome to the heart op with a new stent having been inserted and the consultant pleased with the result, the tumour on the lung can now be removed when the medical team have cleared a date for surgery, which is all great news for me and Tish. The family are busying themselves with the planning of Justin and Debbie’s wedding which now has a date for early 2010 and we are over the moon for them both, they make a lovely couple and we wish them every happiness in their life together. We have had so much excitement with new borns down in Aus just before Christmas with the arrival of Sophie and Anna, Grandma Carole has flown down for three months to help Rachel and Matt, Check out the picutures on “The Joneses” website. What a fantastic start to the year we had at Tortworth Court, where we saw in the new year once again, (if you haven’t already seen the pics go back to 2009 News).
Tortworth Court Tortworth Court is situated just outside Wotton under edge close to Tetbury Stroud and Dursley not far away nestled in the hills on the borders of the cotswolds, very picturesque with lots of hamlets with pubs to visit so great as a setting off place in the morning as we did. On New Years day we took a trip to Bath as a run out for coffee and the girls to have a browse around the shops, little did we know the wonder that was in store for us. On the way down we had to climb high over Bath before descending into the sheltered valley below where we found the magical frost bound wonderland the likes of which I have never seen before as you see in the pictures either side and below, everything was white, every twig and branch was cloaked in Jack Frost’s blanket, even the Robin red breast chirping away happily was easy to see and all you could hear; as the land was still all was crisp and even. This was our back drop for the day as we travelled on out of Bath to find an Inn for lunch, taking the foss road we came across “The Thames head Inn” situated as suggests - at the head of the river the Thames source, a great place to rest and eat with roaring log fire and comfort to sup traditional local ales soothed by the music of the fire as it crackles in the basket on the hearth.
Mar 09. Well here we are March come and gone !! celebrated my 63 yr on the 2nd (quietly !!!) with a trip into Birmingham to Japanese bistro called “Waggamamas” basically it is a noodle bar great fun and for all ages from baby to old boilers like me. April is upon us and Easter next weekend so we are off to Devon to see the family on Easter Sunday and hope the weather is kind to us.

Jan 09. hello folks The latest pictures from Sydney can be found on our web site www.jcjones.plus.com
Click on "family" then "the twins" (see the home page if you need help enlarging and navigating the photos).
Photos after IMG-1730 are the latest.
Also photo'd are my sister Sally who was passing through on her way to New Zealand and the friend that she and her husband Gordon were staying with in Sydney.
The two black & white photos were taken by Matt two weeks ago when the girls were one month old. He's conveniently labelled them.
I've edited out a number of the earlier photos.
Great news from Aus Rachel has given birth to two beautiful baby girls Sophie Alice and Anna Foy 5 lbs and 4.5 lbs respectively, arrived early this morning our time, 3 pm-ish in Sydney. All are well, first pictures hot off the press right.
Mar 09. Hello everyone, "the twins" (to be found under "family") has been updated. There are now so many photos of Anna and Sophie that it's been difficult to narrow down the selection. Many earlier photos have been replaced by more recent ones but a few have been left to illustrate how much they've changed. Although they are not identical it can be difficult enough to tell them apart in the flesh, let alone in photos.
Our web site is www.jcjones.plus.com
If you have difficulty navigating the web site have a look at the home page. The plus.com web site was playing up earlier today. If you have a problem getting access it might be worth just leaving it until later.
There are no pictures of our holiday in Canberra and Victoria yet. We'll sort out some soon. However we mostly videoed on our travels.

NEWS FROM THE NAKAZATOS
NEWS FROM THE HERMANS
Jan 09 - Welcome to the Herman’s news page. Janey’s coming home...
Mar 09 - The Aussies are coming!!! I am planning a big trip starting 1st July and off to Amsterdam to pick up a campervan and travel Germany, France and Holland for five weeks then take it over to England for two weeks with family and friends and a week in Cornwall tracing relatives etc for Brenton whose mother and father hail from Truro and Penzance. Then to London to hand in van and fly to Toronto for a week with my sister at her lakeside cottage and off to New York for three days to meet up with a friend of Brenton's to fly to Nashville for a three week road trip touring the jazz cities of the South, ending up in San Fransisco where we part company with him and, keeping the car, head on down to San Diego, Baja? even further south for a further four weeks; during this time we're staying at a couple of resorts, and maybe even take a 4 day cruise out of San Diego - Brenton is a member of Trendwest who have resorts down there. Then we make our way back up to Los Angeles and fly to Auckland for another four week campervan trip and back to Brisbane end November.
Don't know how long we'll be on the ground in Brisbane before a short camping trip south to Sydney to catch up with and meet more of Brenton's rellies but probably back to Brisbane for Christmas and then in late January we start the rest of our lives! We're aiming on travelling inland directly to Wilson's Promontory for a hike on foot for a couple of weeks there and use the truck as a base, but hiking is the main theme. We need to be there while the weather is warm in the south as it's a windy place - we visited it during January on a previous trip and it was chilly!! Then we start the round Australia trip from there heading back up the NSW coast again and on up north as the weather cools in to winter 2010. Well this is the plan anyway, we’ll keep you posted.
